There may be times when you want to stop receiving new applications or limit who can access an interview. Interviewer.AI gives you two ways to do this:
Archive the interview to completely stop accepting candidates.
Make the interview Private to keep the interview active but restrict access to invited candidates only.
Here's how each option works.
Option 1: Archive an Interview
Archiving an interview is the best option when you've finished hiring for a role and no longer want candidates to apply.
Once an interview is archived:
New candidates cannot submit an application.
The public interview link will no longer accept new responses.
Existing candidate records, interview results, and reports remain available for your reference.
The interview is removed from your list of active jobs.
How to Archive an Interview
Log in to your Interviewer.AI dashboard.
Navigate to Interviews.
Select the interview you want to close.
Choose Archive.
Confirm your selection.
You can still access archived interviews and candidate data whenever you need it.
Option 2: Make an Interview Private
If you're still hiring but don't want the interview to be publicly accessible, you can make it Private.
A private interview remains active, but candidates cannot join using the public job link.
Instead, only candidates who receive a direct invitation or a unique interview link from your team will be able to participate.
This is useful when:
You're sourcing candidates directly.
You're working with employee referrals.
You only want shortlisted candidates to complete the interview.
You don't want applications from the general public.
What Happens When an Interview Is Private?
✅ The interview remains active.
✅ Existing candidates can continue through the process.
✅ You can invite new candidates individually.
❌ The public interview link is no longer open for anyone to access.
Which Option Should I Choose?
If you want to... | Recommended Action |
Stop receiving all new applications | Archive the interview |
Keep hiring but restrict access to invited candidates only | Make the interview Private |
Keep the interview publicly available | Leave the interview Active |
