It helps you automatically screen resumes based on your job description and hiring priorities, saving you time and highlighting the most relevant profiles.

What Is Resume Scoring?

When candidates upload their resumes, Interviewer.AI’s Resume Scoring engine compares the content of each resume to your job description using NLP (Natural Language Processing) and AI matching algorithms.

Each candidate receives a resume relevance score, which you can use to prioritize or filter applicants during the screening phase.

How to Collect Resumes

You can collect resumes in two ways:

1. When Creating an Interview

  • Enable the “Resume Scoring” toggle

  • Candidates will be prompted to upload their resume when applying

2. When Uploading Candidates Manually

  • Use the CSV bulk upload or add candidates individually

  • Ensure resumes are included to trigger automatic scoring

  • If you’re already using an ATS, you can also import resumes via integrations or candidate sharing links.

Resume Scoring Parameters in 2.0

Resume Scoring 2.0 includes more accurate parameters based on your job description and candidate data:

  • Company Fit
Matches skills, tools, and responsibilities directly from your JD to the company

  • Relevant Experience
Evaluates seniority and experience level alignment

  • Education
Assesses the academic background and qualification fit

  • Job Knowledge
Looks for relevant platforms, software, or certifications or other information related to the functional role

  • Hard skills
Specific skills mentioned in the JD and how does it match

How Are Scores Displayed?

  • Resume scores are shown as part of the candidate’s digital profile on the Candidate Profile page.

  • You can filter or sort candidates by score to prioritize top matches.

  • Scores can also be weighted along with video interviews and skill assessments for overall ranking.

Want to Skip Resume Uploads?

If you don’t want to collect resumes (for example, when resumes are already submitted via your ATS), you can disable resume upload during interview creation.
