What Is an Ideal Response?
An Ideal Response is a sample or benchmark answer created for each video question in your interview setup. It represents the key points, clarity, and professionalism you would expect from a top candidate answering that question.
How Does AI Score Matching Work?
Once you define an ideal response, Interviewer.AI uses natural language processing (NLP) and semantic analysis to compare each candidate’s video response against it. The AI then generates a relevancy score, which is factored into the overall assessment.
The more closely a candidate’s answer matches the ideal response in tone, content, and context, the higher their score.
How to Set an Ideal Response
Go to the Interviews section of your dashboard.
Create or edit a job interview.
In the Video Question Setup, enter your video question.
Below the question, look for the “Ideal Response” input field.
Type your model answer or key points that reflect a strong response.
Save and publish your interview.
You can repeat this for each video question where AI score matching is desired.
Where You’ll See It
When reviewing candidates:
The Content Relevancy Score shows how closely a candidate’s response aligns with the ideal response.
You’ll find this score in the candidate’s profile under Video Responses, alongside other scores like Professionalism and Communication.
Recruiters can also view the transcript, video playback, and scoring insights to understand the candidate's performance.
