If you've already collected resumes through your ATS or simply want to streamline the candidate experience, you can choose to disable the resume upload step during the interview setup process in Interviewer.AI.

๐Ÿ” Why Disable Resume Uploads?

Turning off the resume upload requirement can help you:

  • โœ… Simplify the candidate experience โ€“ Less friction, faster application.
    โ€‹

  • โœ… Avoid duplication โ€“ Especially if resumes are already collected via your ATS.
    โ€‹

  • โœ… Focus on interview performance โ€“ Prioritize real-time assessment over paperwork.

โš™๏ธ How to Disable Resume Uploads

You can disable the resume requirement either while creating a new interview or editing an existing one.

A. When Creating a New Interview

  1. Go to the Overview or Interviews page.
    โ€‹

  2. Click +Create Interview (Overview page) or Create Job Interview (Interviews page).
    โ€‹

  3. In the interview setup form, scroll to the Resume Scoring section.
    โ€‹

  4. Find the toggle labeled:
โ€‹ โ€œIs resume scoring required when applicants apply?โ€
    โ€‹

  5. Turn OFF the toggle. (It will visually update to show itโ€™s disabled.)
    โ€‹

B. When Editing an Existing Interview

  1. Go to the Interviews page.

  2. Locate the interview you'd like to edit.

  3. Click the ellipsis (โ‹ฏ) menu next to the interview title.

  4. Select Edit.

  5. Scroll to the Resume Scoring section.

  6. Toggle off:
โ€‹โ€œIs resume scoring required when applicants apply?โ€
    โ€‹
    โ€‹

๐Ÿ“Œ What Happens Next?

  • No Resume Required: Candidates wonโ€™t be asked to upload a resume when applying to that interview.

  • Resume Scoring Disabled: Resume-based scoring will be skipped. No resume scores will appear for this interview.
    โ€‹
    โ€‹

โš ๏ธ Things to Keep in Mind

  • This setting is interview-specific. Youโ€™ll need to disable it individually for each interview you create.

  • This is especially useful if resumes are already stored in your ATS to avoid redundancy.
